All available signs now point to the Senate's confirming Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court tomorrow. As if it were God's provision of hope and encouragement to the tens of millions of Americans who will react with sadness and despair to that outcome, today the Nobel Peace prize was awarded to Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad for their "efforts to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war and armed conflict."
No, the recipients' work is not directly connected to the kind of assault alleged by Dr Ford, but the arrival of the awarding of the Peace Prize to advocates for victims of sexual violence (Ms Murad is herself a survivor) on the same day it seems reasonable to conclude Kavanaugh will be confirmed is a blessing most easily explained as God's grace-filled intercession.

This is a disgraceful interpretation of what has happend.
- I am glad that there are people working to end sexual violence.
- You totally detract from that by covertly proclaiming Kavanaugh's guilt without any evidence.
