This is why Pastors and Christians must repudiate the NRA. They should have been helping the father seek help for his son than supporting the NRA. The NRA doesn't need or should expect funds or the goodwill from the "people of God." Dirty hands # 2, from the NRA Records:

TENNESSEE GUN LAWS

................................... Rifles and SHOTGUNS / HANDGUNS

  1. Permit to Purchase ...... ..... NO ------- NO
  2. Registration of Firearms ...... NO ------- NO
  3. Licencing of Owners ...... ... NO ------- NO
  4. Permit to Carry ...... ... ..... NO ------- YES

SOURCE: National Rifle Association

The NRA and the "so-called" Second Amendment in the named state above, would allow a child to purchase, own, use a gun anywhere, anytime, any day; as long as, they don't carry a "handgun". What a shame! What say ye? CM

So far in our discussions, one supporter of assault weapons thought they were necessary to fight the government if they begin killing Americans. Of course this is not the Christian's calling. But I think it speaks for the NRA mentality. Which if true, makes them a sleeper cell of terrorists, becoming active should things not work out to their liking.

God placed the sword into the hands of the pagan magistrate, not into the hands of Christians. And when things got bad, the Christians left town. Never did they use violence to defend themselves in the NT. And should another government replace our present government, it becomes our government. Without our ever lifting a finger to promote or prevent it. Our kingdom is not of this world. We are pilgrims and strangers merely passing through. There is nothing more unchristian than taking the sword instead of the cross.

No, the only person culpable for the Waffle House shooting is the shooter, and apparently his dad....

The White House finally acknowledged the man who saved lives in the Tennessee Waffle House Shooting. This administration is slow in affirming good things. CM
